For all peoples of faith, a sustained commitment to building Beloved Community necessitates deep rootedness in the words of sacred scripture. To effectively hear and respond to the call to do justice, we believe in the value of Christians being formed by the words of the Bible. In addition, co-discernment through multiple lenses is invaluable. Join a Bible Studies for collaborative discussion on a selected text and topic, and its intersection with our respective issue areas.

Luke 23:50-56: Leadership as if Faith Mattered: Joseph of Arimathea
Joseph of Arimathea, a faithful follower of Jesus. He’s described in all four gospels; yet, he is someone we seldom hear about. Joseph’s act of discipleship provides a good starting place for believers seeking to be “radically rooted” in stewardship by using their wealth, resources, and influence to meet needs.
