One in three women and one in six men will experience abuse in their lifetimes, yet only half of churches have a plan to assist someone in an abusive relationship, and few pastors preach about domestic or sexual violence from the pulpit. How have Christians been complicit in cultures of abuse? And how can we now turn to the pulpit, scriptures, resources, policies, and professionals to promote a culture that is safe, healing, and liberating for women and children?
